We will begin with creating a study page exploring techniques and processes and then develop the skills into creating a completed painting. You will have a selection of images to choose from so that everyone can create a unique piece. You will be well supported with tutor led demonstrations as well as 1:1 support in a friendly and encouraging environment.

Art for Wellbeing Day

Take some time out from your busy life and spend the day creating art in company. In this one-day workshop, we’ll explore a series of artistic mindfulness techniques, each designed to foster a sense of wellbeing and calm. Through a series of gentle guided art exercises, including painting, drawing and crafting, this workshop will give you the tools you need to connect to your innate creativity.

We’ll learn how to stay present and grounded, observe the world around us and develop a sense of trust in our abilities. We’ll discover how making art can become an important act of self-care. No prior art or meditation experience necessary. All materials and creative prompts will be provided. Some activities may involve gentle movement and (weather permitting) some activities may also take place outdoors. Please dress in comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear.
