FAQs

The Percival Guildhouse is open for a whole academic year, comprising three academic terms, Autumn, Spring and Summer.

For Autumn term, enrolment is open to everyone from the brochure launch date, usually in mid-August. The brochure will be available online (and in hard copy at the Rugby Visitors Centre).  Enrolment is on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, and, due to the capacity of our rooms, places are limited. The office will be open 9.30am – 1.30pm during the enrolment period and prompt enrolment is advised to secure places on popular courses.

Spring and Summer terms differ from Autumn. For current students, a two-week grace period is given for re-enrolment. If re-enrolment has not occurred within this period, enrolments will be opened to the community for spaces to be filled. New students can join at any time if there is space.

Once an enrolment form has been completed for any term, we do not require subsequent forms in that academic year. If any changes to your details occur, you can either update your records online, inform the office staff on 01788 542467 or pop in to see us during our term-time opening hours.

Yes, but this is subject to circumstances. If you enrol by post and include a stamped addressed envelope with your enrolment, a receipt will be posted to you. If you do not include a stamped addressed envelope, or if you enrol by phone, your receipt will held in the class register and given to you by your tutor at your first class. If you enrol in person, a receipt will be given to you when you pay.

No matter which method you use to enrol, if you access your Percival Guildhouse records online, you will see confirmation of your course details and a receipt number in your record as soon as your enrolment has been processed.

Course outlines/syllabuses are available online. Click a course on the Courses page for details. They are intended to present a general statement of the topics to be covered and the order in which they are to be presented. It will be appreciated that successful learning outcomes are affected by the prior knowledge of the group and by individual interests and expertise. Some variation in the time given to particular topics, and the precise order in which they are presented, is therefore to be expected.

The Percival Guildhouse offers individuals the opportunity of giving the gift of education to a loved one through the use of a PGH gift voucher. Gift vouchers can only be used as payment for a PGH course, workshop or summer school.
